Pretzels

day 102  //  munich

Cheers to another full day at Springfest! Today we woke up around 9 and got ready in time to make the continental breakfast at our hostel (which was bomb). We came back to our rooms to finish getting ready and get into costume (aka dirndl). A few of us didn't wear our dirndls today because they aren't very comfortable and we knew we were going to be in them all day so we opted not to. We headed over to the festival around noon and got some food. I started with another chocolate covered banana because, I kid you not, they are the best tasting things on the planet. Then we decided to go find a good table in one of the tent areas so that we could have it for the whole day and not worrying about not having a place to sit. We scored an awesome table right by the band and everyone immediately ordered beers and pretzels. The pretzels we got today in the tent were ONE MILLION times better than the ones we got from a random stand yesterday. The middle of the pretzels was the consistency of cotton candy and they were simple amazingly. After awhile a few of us wanted to go on some more rides so we went out and did that. Can't stress enough how awesome the rides here are. Actually the best ever. After a handful of rides we went back to the tent to chill with everyone. It was only early afternoon but it got pretty nuts fast. Everyone in there was chugging and cheering and wearing dirndls and lederhosen and it was a sight to see for sure. We hung out in there for a few more hours before a few of us decided we were ready to go home. We got some dinner on the way and headed back to the hostel. Soon after we got back, everyone else followed suit and we all crashed early because we have an early morning tomorrow to go see Dachau, the concentration camp, before taking the bus back to Florence.

Swing selfie (GoPros are just awesome aren't they?)
